In March we planned a Birds of Curacao workshop on Curacao which was cancelled due to Corona measures on the island. In October we have another chance to fulfill the workshop promise. A 1 session fun and hands on workshop either on October 9 or October 13. Language: Dutch – English – Papiamento. See text below for English version!

Vogels observeren kan een eindeloze bron van plezier zijn. En helemaal met de juiste basistechnieken om zoveel mogelijk van deze dieren te genieten zonder ze te verstoren, In deze workshop gaan we aan de slag met deze basistechnieken van ‘birdwatchen’, hoe je werkt met een verrekijker of scope, hoe je observeert om de vogels te kunnen herkennen en gaan we ook echt op pad in het park rondom Landhuis Bloemhof om de soorten vogels die hier leven te zoeken en identificeren.
Deze doe-workshop is geschikt voor alle niveaus, voor degene die net begint maar ook voor de vogelaar die al een tijdje bezig is maar op zoek is naar meer tips en tricks.
Opbouw en kosten:
De cursus bestaat uit 1 sessie. Er zijn 2 mogelijke deelname data: zaterdag 9 oktober 2021 of woensdag 13 oktober 2021. De tijden op beide data zijn van 9.00 AM tot 12.00 PM. De sessie bestaat uit een korte introductie waarna we op pad gaan in het stadspark om Landhuis Bloemhof. Kosten bedragen 40 gulden per persoon inclusief een bijdrage aan Bloemhof, drinken en wat lekkers. (Geef even door of u allergieen heeft).

Corona-maatregelen: Ook tijdens deze workshop zijn er Corona-maatregelen. Aangezien deze telkens veranderen houden we u via de mail, na de inschrijving op de hoogte van de geldende maatregelen op de betreffende dagen. Mocht u verkouden zijn of Corona-achtige symptomen hebben op de dag van deelname, dan verzoeken we u om thuis te blijven en de deelname af te zeggen.

De workshop gaat door bij 4 deelnemers. Vanwege de Corona-maatregelen is er een maximum aantal deelnemers.
Watching birds can be an endless source of pleasure. Especially with the right basic techniques to enjoy these animals as much as possible without disturbing them. In this workshop we will work with these basic techniques of ‘birdwatching’, how to work with binoculars or scope, how to observe and we actually set out in the park around Landhuis Bloemhof to look for and identify the species of birds that live here.
This DIY workshop is suitable for all levels, for those who are just starting out but also for the bird watcher who has been birdwatching for a while but is looking for more tips and tricks.
Structure and costs:
The course consists of 1 session. There are 2 possible entry dates: Saturday, October 9, 2021 or Wednesday, October 13, 2021. The times on both dates are from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM. The session consists of a short introduction, after which we set out in the city park around Landhuis Bloemhof. Costs are 40 guilders per person, including a contribution to Bloemhof, drinks and some goodies. (Please let us know if you have any allergies).

Geachte Michelle, Zou graag a.s. wonsdag 13 oktober deel willen nemen aan de birdwatching. Verder zou ik ook het boek over de birds willen kopen. Uw antwoord zie ik gaarne tegemoet.
